Gilles Essiambre

Gilles Essiambre is the President of Totbox Productivity Solutions, an Ottawa based training company.

For the past 22 years. Gilles has worked in the field of productivity improvement. Throughout those years, he has delivered over two thousand workshops to both public and private sector organizations across North America, Europe and Latin America.

For the past 6 years, he has been partnering more specifically with construction associations and companies in Canada to help their members and teams increase their effectiveness through the strategic and effective use of technology (MS Office products and cloud-based solutions).

His client list is made up of companies like PCL, Modern Niagara, Brookfield, EMCO and many more.

He is a sought-after expert in his field and speaks regularly at conferences on various productivity related topics.

 


Mike Weatherill

Purolite Corporation


As one of the former owners of Biolab Equipment Canada a Water System Manufacturer, Mike has over 20 years of experience in Water Treatment Technology. In 2008, Mike started up a service company named Regeneration Services which specializes in High Purity Water Applications.


For the last 9 years Mike has worked as a Technical Sales Specialist with Purolite Corporation concentrating on residential, commercial and industrial resin based systems. Along with his experience in Water Treatment, Mike also studied at the University of Western Ontario and Sheridan Institute of Technology obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, along with a Special Diploma in E-commerce Management.

 


Kevin Wong

Technical Advisor, CWQA

Canadian Codes Manager, Uponor Ltd.

He has a background in plumbing, business, water quality and environmental engineering. Prior to joining UPONOR, Kevin spent a 12-plus year tenure as the Executive Director of Canadian Water Quality Association, and served as the Technical Manager for the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating during that same time. He has worked in manufacturing with MIFAB, recently as their Canadian Specifications Manager, and Cimatec Engineering (makers of the ToxBoxTM) as Marketing Director, and most notably at Jacques Whitford Environmental Engineers & Consultants as a Senior Project Manager & Scientist in their prestigious and award winning risk assessment/brownfields group (JW was bought by Stantec in 2012).

He is actively involved for various US, Canadian and International standards/codes committees including NSF 61& NSF 372 (low lead), CSA B64 (backflow), CSA B483 (drinking water treatment systems), CSA B128 (greywater), various WQA committees (water treatment), National Master Spec of Canada, and observes on NSF 444 (Prevention of Injury and Disease Associated with Building Water Systems). Kevin currently is a voting member of the Standing Committee on Plumbing & HVAC at Codes Canada; and serves as an advisor to the Ontario Plumbing Inspectors Association and the Canadian Water Quality Association. He is a founding and serving member of the ASPE GTA Chapter as their VP Legislative (and Newsletter).

Serving CWQA, Kevin got deeply involved and immersed in issues affecting the Canadian industry members including product safety concerns, code issues, trade challenges, septic issues, legionella outbreaks, cyanobacteria challenges, lead issues, greywater treatment, rainwater harvesting…to name a few. CWQA direct involvement in code and policy formulation in the larger water sector increased the association’s profile and gave our members intelligence and information to excel at their businesses.

Kevin continues to serve as a Technical Advisor and resource to CWQA and it members today, including as a mentor for their MEP program.

 


 

Peter Cartwright
Cartwright Consulting Company

 

Peter entered the water purification and wastewater treatment industry in 1974, and has had his own consulting engineering firm since 1980. 


He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is a registered Professional Engineer in that state. 
Peter provides engineering expertise in all areas of water and wastewater treatment, as well as market investigations and expert witness expertise. 

He has authored over 300 articles, written several book chapters, presented more than 300 lectures around the world and have been awarded several patents in the water/wastewater industry. 
Peter is a recipient of both the Award of Merit and Lifetime Member Award from the Water Quality Association and has been the Technical Consultant to the Canadian Water Quality Assn. from 2007 to 2018. He was the 2016 McEllhiney Distinguished Lecturer for the National Groundwater Research and Educational Foundation and presented more than 35 lectures on groundwater treatment technologies worldwide.
