Peter S. Cartwright is CWQA’s technical consultant.

Peter has been in the water purification and wastewater treatment industry since 1974, and has intimate knowledge of the technologies available in the marketplace. He is also very familiar with component and systems manufacturers and is in an excellent position to evaluate them objectively.

He has authored more than 125 papers, written several book chapters, holds three patents and has presented many lectures in conferences around the world. He also holds professional engineering registration in several states.

Peter has been active in WQA since the mid-seventies, has been a member and chair of numerous committees, and has achieved CWS-VI status. He has presented lectures at virtually every conference, and is currently on a task force designing an industrial education curriculum for WQA.

He is a founding member of the Water Conditioning & Purification Magazine Technical Review Committee as well as the Editorial Advisory Committee of "Industrial Water World" and is on the Editorial Advisory Board of "Filtration News"; and a peer reviewer for the "Journal of Membrane Science".

Peter is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota, who has written almost 100 articles, and presented over 125 papers or lectures on all aspects of water treatment.

As a professional consultant, Peter founded his company - Cartwright Consulting Co. which has offices both in the United States and Europe.

Cartwright Consulting Co. specializes in the application of innovative treatment technologies for water purification, wastewater treatment and food/chemical processing.

These technologies include membrane separation (RO, NF, UF, MF, EDR), adsorption (IX, GAC) and advanced disinfection (O3, and UV).
